Koko the gorilla, is a female gorilla who is able to understand more than 1000 signs on the the American Sign Language system and over 2000 words of spoken English.

Koko had a pet kitten, which she received on her birthday on July 1984. It was noted that Koko cared for that kitten as if it were a little baby gorilla. The kitten one day escaped from Koko’s cage and was hit by a car.

When she was told of what happened, this is how she responded.

It was also noted that afterwards she made weeping sounds like a human.

You can watch the full video here

And for anyone whose interested in animal language, here’s an interesting article on researchers translating chimp language

As written by IFL science

After analyzing thousands of wild chimp-to-chimp gestures, University of St Andrews researchers believe that they have translated the meanings of 36 chimpanzee gestures that are used to communicate.
According to the researchers, this is the first time that another animal communication system has been found to have meaning. Furthermore, this novel information may also offer an insight into the evolution of the human language. The study has been published in Current Biology.
Researchers found that chimpanzees use 66 gestures to deliberately communicate 19 meanings. The researchers were also able to assign true meanings for 36 of these gestures. For example, if the chimps wanted to play, they would stomp both feet, or if they wanted contact they would hug the air.

THIS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN
-Was RAPED along her best friend while her husband was tied up and forced to watch.
-Was diagnosed with uterine CANCER
-Had to get a DIVORCE because her husband was gay
What did she do about it all?
-Create a television show with her ex based on their divorce and friendship that still holds strong.
-Laughs just as hard today as she has in the past.
-Fights for the rights of the gay and lesbian community
-Works for the U.S. State department for the Public Diplomacy Envoy for Women’s Health Issues.
-Launched the ‘Cancer Shmancer’ movement, a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that all women’s cancers be diagnosed while in Stage 1, the most curable stage.
-Has won the following awards: Jon Wayne’s Institute’s Woman of Achievement award, Gilda Award, City of Hope Wom of the Year award, Hebrew University Humanitarian award, Albert Einstien’s College of Medicine’s Spirit of Achievement Award, City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Award, and the ”My Aid Award” for her achievements in support of cancer prevention and rehabilitation.
-She has been cancer free for 12 years.
Now tell me she is not an AMAZING Woman.
When people say they “Hate her” because of her voice, I just want to punch them straight in their faces.
This is Fran Drescher, and she is one HELL Of a strong woman.

And if you’ve seen any of her work, it’s crystal clear that she’s aware of her voice. Both The Nanny and Happily Divorced make several jokes where she’s the butt of them. She’s smart, funny and strong and no one can tell me she’s not awesome.

I wonder whey there is a product that’s only purpose is to hurt innocent bystanders ears and psychological state triggering a fight or flight response and making the person who hears it physically ill. People can buy these product and use them constantly all summer long on the people near the streets they rip through. How is this legal? Any motorcyclists who have loud pipes are fucking pieces of shit and deserve to crash.  Corporations can sell this weapon of public torture to douche bags, and I just have to live in constant torture and state of rage for a minute after they pass. Is this some plot to rip society apart with societal psychological torture tools? Like guns.  How many wars could we have if there were no more corporations producing weapons.
ya really, deal with it. Loud pipes are psychological torture
